What is Podiatry ?
Elizabeth Tandy has been practicing for over 16 years in the Four Oaks area and presents a private and friendly consultancy service attached to the Four Oaks Medical Centre in Mere Green Road.
Podiatrists play a major role in the care of diabetic and the reumatoid arthritic patient. Many conditions are treated under local anaesthesia - such as in-growing toenails. They are trained to analyse biomechanical and locomotor disorders which can affect posture and gait which in turn affects the feet, ankles, knees and back, resulting in pain - it can also work from the feet upwards. A consultation can lead to alleviating symptoms, prolonging mobility & improving quality of life for the elderly, physically handicapped & debilitated
We also recommend regular check-ups
